Polling for Kosovo’s general, local and mayoral elections has concluded.

According to the first unofficial results from the Democracy in Action coalition, PDK leads with 35% of the votes, followed by LDK with 22%, AKR 12%, LDD-PSHDK 10%, AAK 9%, and ORA 4%.

According to the Central Election Commission, participation has been at 40-45% with no significant problems encountered.

Encouraged by Belgrade, Serb minority  for the most part boycotted the elections.

Vote counting is expected to last for two to three days after which a government will be formed that will lead Kosovo towards an expected difficult period ahead.
